FPS Architecture

For my work-in-progress game Paint Punks I worked on a custom weapon system that supports dozens of variables including - but not limited to - projectile speed, gravity, bullet spread, bullet size, reload time, burst size, damage fall-off, weapon audio and many more features.

Weapon gameplay is programmed through interconnected systems consisting out of a projectile system for hit detection and bullet replication, a custom character controller that handles weapon input, swing, animations and more, and an impact system that handles audio and VFX of bullets hitting surfaces.

Cave Generation

Crystal Cave Sledding is a prototype for a game about sliding down infinitely long randomly generated caves. The game currently generates a finite random cave system existing out of hallways, rooms, chasms and more!

This project does not contain any pre-built assets, meaning everything you see is uniquely generated from primitive triangle shapes.

Party Crash!

For the Roblox Inspire Challenge 2024 I teamed up with Sheenyo, deva & Skarletbun as a programmer to create a game during the game-jam. Our team ended up winning the challenge's grand prize with our game Party Crash!

Party Crash is a short story-based single-player rhythm game. The player encounters enemies that are defeated by timing their attacks on the music's beat. The game offers a dynamic audio system in which the music will slow down and change as the player takes more damage, making it easier for the player to recover.

obby_trial.exe

For the RDC 2021 game-jam I teamed up with Sylently, HenryDev, polarcub_art & GPTelos to create a game-jame game as a 3d artist and level designer. Our team won the game-jam's Best in Show award with our game obby_trial.exe

obby_trial.exe is a single-player 2.5D platformer game in which the player uses Roblox's ViewportFrames feature to interact with the world in unique ways, such as by dragging a window over a missing object to make it appear, or to move platforms around in the world.

The Eyes of Providence

For the RDC 2020 game-jam I teamed up with Quenty, Arch_Mage, Crykee, xJennyBeanx & AlgyLacey to create a game-jame game as a designer. Our team won the game-jam's Outstanding Use of Tech award with the game The Eyes of Providence

The Eyes of Providence is a team-based PvP game. Each team has one 'overlord' playing in Virtual Reality who can assist their team by grabbing objects, opening gates and building bridges.

FPS Map Sketcher

This tool was made to swiftly draw top-down FPS maps. Using click-and-drag controls, maps can quickly be designed by drawing walls, roofs and ramps. These can then be selected for further modifications, such as selecting walls to add windows and doorways, or selecting ramps to convert them into stairs. A layering system also allows for multi-story buildings to be drawn, with hotkeys to snap walls and roofs to floors above and below.

A very basic map exporter was added as well, allowing maps to be exported into a format that can then be loaded into Roblox using a plugin.


Love2d UI Creator

Love2d is a very basic framework that can be used to develop 2d tools and games. The framework comes with many APIs for drawing images and shapes, and APIs to create and manage images. However, the framework does not offer a UI system as there is no one-size-fits-all UI solution that satisfies all needs. Users are therefore left to implement their own UI system or to use community libraries.

Over the past few years I have spent some time here and there working on my own 2d UI implementation. And to test the power of the UI system I wrote a tool that lets me create custom UI using an interface made with that UI system!
